It’s times like this I wish you could give 6 stars on Yelp. Luis is the Superman of realtors. I recently purchased my first home in the Oceanside area, which I discovered was an exercise in extreme stress and uncertainty. The house, while gorgeous on the outside, turned up with a number of issues during inspections. Luis told me when I should hold my ground, what I should budge on, and what I could reasonably expect from the sellers. Luis navigated me through the rough waters. He is a straight shooter, and won’t BS you just for a commission. There are a lot of moments in purchasing a home when you’re not sure who you can trust, but if you can have 100% trust in your realtor, then you can let them fight the tough battles for you. I never for a moment doubted that Luis was on my side. I work long hours, but he always made himself available to meet or chat for advice no matter what time I got off work. I honestly could not have made this purchase without his help. With a realtor of a lower caliber, I would have been lost at sea. I wish I could hire Luis as an agent to manage the rest of my life. Don’t underestimate the importance of having a good realtor. If you’re lucky, they won’t have to do much, but if you should wind up really needing them, you’ll drown without competent, professional help (that is my third and last “water” metaphor, thank you very much).
